Spiritbox added bassist Bill Crook in 2018, and drummer Zev Rose will join for touring and recording in 2020. The band began their first tour in Europe in February 2020, supporting After The Burial, but it was cut short owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. Their second tour, in July 2021, in support of Limp Bizkit in the United States, was likewise halted after a few concerts owing to pandemic-related safety concerns. With the release of the single “Holy Roller” in July 2020, the band achieved critical and financial success. The original version of the song topped SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s “Devil’s Dozen” for seven weeks and was named the station’s No. 1 song of 2020. The band announced their signing with Rise Records in September 2020, as part of the label’s relationship with Pale Chord Records.
