The experience of receiving medical care from the perspectives of individuals with Eating Disorders and their caregivers.


Take the Healthcare Experiences Survey here! The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of individuals with eating disorders (EDs) and that of their family and/or caregivers during medical healthcare encounters.

The survey is for individuals who:

  1. have received (patient/client) or witnessed (caregiver) medical healthcare for any reason during the course of an Eating Disorder
  2. have had this experience within the past 5 years
  3. are 18 years or older

The survey is completely anonymous and the investigators will not have access to any personal health information beyond what you share during the survey. 

There are minimal to no risks associated with completing this survey.  There are no direct benefits for participation in this study.  There is potential for indirect benefit to individuals with EDs as the study findings may be used to inform educational interventions for healthcare providers aimed at improving experiences for both patients and providers.

Participating in this study is completely voluntary. By completing the survey you are giving consent for this information to be used in a research study.
