He was born on August 25, 1964 in Tacoma, Washington, United States to the late Marilyn Ann Scales Underwood, an interior decorator and Frank Eugene Underwood Sr., a United States Army colonel.
A 1988 Carnegie Mellon University graduate, Underwood made his film debut in the 1985 musical film Krush Groove.
Following his debut, Underwood has starred in over 80 movies and tv shows including L.A.
