Eddie Murray is a former American baseball player and coach which he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Eddie Murray started his humble beginning when he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in 1973. He received the American League Rookie of the Year award in 1977 and three-time consecutive Golden Glove awardee. During his stint with the team, he led them to win the World Series championship in 1983.

He was traded by the Orioles to Los /Angeles Dodgers in 1988 and stayed with the team for three seasons. He returned with the Orioles and Dodgers in 1996 and 1997 respectively. During the span of his career as a baseball player, Murray played with several teams such as New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, and Anaheim Angels.

Murray announced his retirement after a season with Los Angeles Dodgers in 1997. In 1998, he returned in the baseball field as a bench coach for the Baltimore Orioles. He served as hitting coach for the Cleveland Indians from 2002 t0 2005 and Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007.
