Disordered Eating- Case Studies Focusing on the Nutrition Counseling Process
Have you learned a lot about disordered eating (DE) treatment but would like to see how it would work in practice? This webinar will provide an overview of the nutrition counseling process, and then the presenter will discuss case studies in order to apply skills and methods in a practice setting. Within the case studies, screening for DE will be conducted. Diagnosis of DE within the dietitian’s scope of practice will be discussed. Each unique DE case study will be examined to help apply counseling techniques. The goal is to provide detailed DE case studies that will allow attendees to use what is learned in practice.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
- Understand the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for clients with disordered eating (DE).
- Apply DE screening methods to case study examples.
- Properly diagnose DE within scope of practice.
- Apply counseling techniques to case study examples.
