Facts About The Cycling Pro Sepp Kuss’s Parents and Girlfriend

With his stage 15 victory in July 2021, Sepp Kuss became the first American rider to win a stage at the Tour de France since 2011.

The spotlight is not only on this emerging cycling star but also on his family and connections. His background includes a wide range of sporting experiences in the Rocky Mountains.

Kuss’ parents not only raised him to be a multi-faceted athlete, but he also fell in love with cycling. Sepp Kuss’ parents and girlfriend are unknown. Right here, we reveal his family and partner.

Parents of Sepp Kuss

Sepp Kuss was born in Durango, Colorado on September 13, 1994. He is Dolph and Sabina Kuss’s only child.

In Durango, the Kuss family is well-known. Sepp’s great-grandparents moved to Leadville in the 1800s in search of work in the mining sector. Dolph was born and raised in Colorado, where he is recognized for boosting athletic standards.

Sepp’s parents are not the same type of athletes as him. Dolph and Sabina were both competitive Nordic skiers.

Sabina, a former global masters contender, now teaches cross-country skiing. Dolph transitioned from international competition to coaching Olympian skiers.

The pair frequently went cross-country skiing with a young Sepp. Every summer, they went on rafting and packed treks in the San Juan Mountains. Sepp’s mother attributes the cyclist’s calm personality to his mountain expertise.

The family traveled with three burros. Hilda was one of them, serving as both a babysitter and a chauffeur for baby Sepp. Sepp, as he grew older, would travel beside the burros, carrying his pack.

Sepp participated in a variety of athletic activities thanks to his parents. Skiing, whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, and ice hockey are just a few of the activities available. When his skiing and hockey schedules clashed, Sepp chose hockey to avoid disappointing his teammates.

Father of Sepp Kuss

In the 1950s, Dolph was a member of the Nordic ski team. Later, he coached the United States Olympic Ski Team at the 1964 and 1972 Winter Olympics.

Dolph later became a coach at Fort Lewis College. He was the school’s first men’s ski coach, training many NCAA champions.

Sepp Kuss developed Outdoor Pursuits at Fort Lewis, earning him the moniker “patriarch of skiing.” The program, which has been ongoing for more than four decades, encourages Fort Lewis kids to participate in outdoor activities while also teaching them about environmental awareness and community development.

Sepp Kuss is also responsible for the creation of Chapman Hill and Purgatory Resort. He also taught gymnastics, swimming, camping, rock climbing, and other sports in addition to skiing.

Sepp’s early ambitions to play professional hockey died due to his diminutive stature. Instead, he chose to follow in his parents’ footsteps and take up cross-country skiing.

From eighth grade to his junior year of high school, he qualified for junior nationals and had all the makings of a ski great. However, in high school, he converted to mountain biking and went on to become a cycling superstar.

Girlfriend of Sepp Kuss

Sepp Kuss is dating Noemi Ferré, another competitive cyclist. They’ve been dating since at least late 2019.

The Spanish pro was a member of the UCI Women’s Continental Team Massi-Tactic. When the COVID-19 epidemic halted big activities, the pair spent time in Ferré’s native Spain.

Ferré hasn’t competed in a race since 2020. But she’s been rooting for Kuss at his recent events.
