The successful professional football player is married to Laurie Leigh Schaub (nee Flynn). Laurie was born on May 7 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she was also raised. She attended Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, where she was a cheerleader. Upon her graduation from the school, she continued with her cheerleading at Auburn University and subsequently finished with a degree in Health Promotion and a minor in business.
Done with college, the beautiful lady relocated to Atlanta in 2004 to work for the Lehman Brothers. She also became a cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons and there, she met her husband at a charity golf tournament hosted by an Atlanta Falcon’s player. At the time, Matt was a benchwarmer for the team. The lady did not take notice of him then because he was just beginning his career with the team and had made only two starts in three seasons.
They eventually started dating and even though their friends believed they were a great couple, they were not sure about it. As fate would have it, they finally realized that they were made for each other. On February 23, 2008, at 4:00 p.m, they tied the knot at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to the joy of their families and friends. Height, Weight and Other Body Measurements
Matt Schaub has just the right height needed to be a football player. He stands at a height of 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) and weighs 245 pounds (111 kg).
Being tall does not always come with big hands but Matt is among the few lucky players who have these physical qualities wrapped in one body. He has a hand size of 9 3/4 (62nd). In the NFL Combine, hand size is done by measuring the tip of the thumb to the tip of the pinky finger with the hand stretched out. When this is done, the number obtained is the hand span or hand spread of the player. The average hand span of males is about 8.5 inches and even in the NFL, it is very rare to have a hand span of 11 inches or wider.
