Tate grew up in Jeffersonville, Virginia, where he was born. Holtzman was employed by Smugglers Notch Resort as a teacher in the kitchen or the nursery. He was one of the most giving young men I have ever seen, and the love and light he created radiated off of him and into everyone.

Tate was a great illustration of what a good person should be. Kindness spread like a virus thanks to him. On July 6, while attending day camp, our beloved Tate was injured in a horrific accident.

Tate’s family experienced a great loss when he was involved in a horrific and deadly accident on July 6th while attending day camp. But locals hurried Holtzman to the hospital following the accident, where he was detained in the intensive care unit. Furthermore, he remained on life support at the University of Vermont Medical Center until Saturday.

His parents couldn’t afford the expensive cost of his medical care. Tate’s parents later launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for his additional medical expenses. While monetary compensation cannot bring Tate back, it could potentially alleviate some of his parents’ suffering. If for whatever reason any of you are unable to contribute financially, we humbly ask that you keep the Holtzman family in your prayers.
