On October 2, 2016, Blockberry Creative announced via Naver that after an 18-month pre-debut project, they would be releasing their first girl group.

A creative disagreement with the company caused Jaden Jeong to leave his position as the group’s creative director in August 2019.

HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul, and YeoJin were the four members who were revealed between October 2016 and January 2017.

During a pre-debut initiative that started in October 2016, each of the group’s 12 members was gradually unveiled by releasing a promotional track over the course of the ensuing 18 months.

With the extended play [+ +] (2018), which was backed by the lead single “Favorite” and the title track “Hi High,” they made their debut as a full ensemble.

The lineup was changed after Chuu was dropped in November 2022.
