Why Is Eugene Cordero Not On Tacoma FD?

Eugene Cordero is no longer on Tacoma FD because he is offered a series regular in the Disney+ series Loki. He will no longer be a part of Tacoma FD.

Cordero, the Filipino American actor, and comedian not long ago, featured in the comedy feature film Easter Sunday alongside Jo Koy, Eva Noblezada, and many others.

Apart from that, Eugene was a series regular on Tacoma FD, an American situation comedy series that occurs in a firehouse in Tacoma, Washington.

The series premiered for the first time on March 28, 2019, on TruTV.

The series is somehow slightly inspired by Heffernan’s cousin brother Bill who is a firefighter in real life-based in New Haven, Connecticut, along with a technical advisor on the series.

The series follows a group of disruptive firefighters located in the rainiest cities in North America. When there is no plenty of fire to extinguish in such a place, the group is always ready to fight fires.

The series was renewed for a fourth season on November 2021 and recently premiered on July 20, 2024.

Why Did Eugene Cordero Leave Tacoma FD?

Eugene Cordero left Tacoma FD because he got a better role in Loki season 2. He was upped to a series regular on the Disney+ series.

The Filipino American actor confirmed his exit from the show in the season 3 finale in 2021. He is replaced by Chris Avila, who appears as a new firefighter Mickleberry.

Eugene Cordero is not returning to Tacoma FD in order to explore new possibilities.

Although the creators of the show were silent on the reason for Cordero’s exit, it was disclosed that there was a mutual understanding between the two parties.

In an interview with Screen Rant, it was confirmed that Eugene returns in Loki season 2. He played a significantly small role in the first season of Loki.

Cordero stared as Casey, a receptionist working at the Time Variance Authority, assisted Loki in understanding the immateriality of Infinity Stones at the TVA.

His character came out as a result of his real misunderstanding over what a fish is and how he utilizes his infinity stones as paperweights.

He was seen in season one finale credits as Hunter K-5E rather than as Casey.

What will be exciting to see in season 2, Loki, is whether Eugene portrays just a single version of his character or plays both Casey and Hunter K-5E.

Season 1 finale saw a slightly diverse version of the TVA in which the roles of the characters were changed. As a result, Cordero might as well play a different version along with his TVA receptionist self.

However, given his popularity, he has a very bright future ahead of him. He has left a great impact on the Tacoma FD show as well as many TV shows and films.

The comedian actor’s notable contributions include his role in the Disney+ series as villager Stokez in The Mandalorian, The Good Place, The High Note, the SXSW film Golden Arm, and The Mule.

He is also a part of Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island alongside Tom Hiddlestone and Samuel Jackson, Other Space, Ghostbusters, and many others.

He has a beautiful wife named Tricia and two daughters, Quincy and Alice.

What Happened To Andy On Tacoma FD?

Andy Myawani decided to leave the fire department to follow his dream of becoming a chef. Andy decided it during the season 3 finale.

The unforeseen disclosure brought emotional unrest to the characters, who were very close to Andy.

As much as fans were eager for the season four premiere, they observed their favorite character absent from the trailer. They expressed their concern through Twitter.

This has raised questions about his future role in the show. Eugene Cordero became a part of the show in 2018 as Andy Myawani.

Andy, a fireman for the Tacoma Fire Department, was one of the lead characters of Tacoma FD. The character has been seen in 36 episodes since the show’s premier, which is the second highest.

The enjoyable character is seen wearing a Blue Tacoma FD shirt with dark blue pants and has thin dark hair.

Myawani has grown as a popular character among fans due to a brilliant performance by Eugene.

As a result of Andy’s withdrawal and Eugene’s exit from Tacoma FD, the show seems to lack an extra dose of comedy.

Tacoma FD Andy not returning was confirmed during the last episode of season 3 when Station 24 caught fire. Captain Eddie Penisi’s dream of becoming the Chief of the Station is questionable.

During the fire, the fighters lost their valuables. Granny lost therapy mannequins, Ike’s mattress full of savings, and Andy’s grandfather’s ashes.

Andy was present there, along with Ike, Eddie, and Lucy, when the Station caught fire.

There is no official confirmation of Andy’s return in season 4. However, fans and Instagram post suggest he might appear as a guest.

According to Screen Rant, Eugene playing Andy shared that season 4 is going to be more exciting and fun and he talked about season 4 shooting.
